How Bottle Me duo filling works

By Bottle Me · Updated

Bottle Me duo mode connects two people around a bottle theme. You can fill together in real time, or answer separately and then view a duo report. It is useful for lighthearted preferences and conversations across distance.

Choose the question before inviting someone

Start with a theme both people can answer comfortably: favorite weekend activities, interests or how a shared day felt. Avoid treating a bottle percentage as a test with a correct answer.

Choose whether you want a shared live filling session or separate answers. Separate answers are useful when you want to compare perspectives instead of editing together.

Connect with the invitation

Use the invitation method shown in the app: a code, QR code or link. Both participants use Bottle Me on iPhone or iPad. Duo sync requires an internet connection.

Share the invitation with the person you intend to join. Check the theme and your display nickname before entering answers.

Read the result as a conversation starter

With separate answers, the duo report helps you look at where the responses are similar and where they differ. Ask what a label meant to each of you before reading too much into a number.

Smart readings are for reflection. They are not a relationship diagnosis, compatibility guarantee or substitute for talking to the other person.

Understand what goes online

Duo mode processes the room identifier, participants’ nicknames, theme, answers and relevant report data online. This is different from a personal record stored locally by default.

Basic duo mode is free. Smart readings have allowances and may have additional Pro benefits; check the current app for details.
